Building my own home
Hi there!
This is the first official entry in my new home at elinpetronella.com. I first launched this newsletter/journal/publication over on Substack in November 2023 with the aim to rekindle my creative spark.
The initial name Follow Your Gut came to me one night and it sealed the deal. Through the past near decade I know first hand how one better not second guess a name before starting a project or the project will never get started in the first place.
I created the publication and began typing away.
Substack served me well for the first 1.5 years of this writer journey. It allowed me to reconnect to my artist self post motherhood as well as build up my writing muscles after a too long hiatus. It worked. I reached my first few thousand readers (Thank you!). But soon I felt how I began to outgrow my new robe.
With the increasingly speedy changes and additions to the platform as well as a confirmation that one can never trust a third party source (won’t get into too much detail on this one…), I decided it’s time. It’s time to bring my work home and continue the growth and expansion into my own world.
If you’re here reading this now, you mean the world to me! I don’t know exactly the shape or form that this will take, but I am committed to creating my own little world of wonders that gets to expand with me.
