Welcome HOME, love

The Gut-Led Circle

A nourishing space for creative mothers to reclaim their rhythm and rewrite the story of motherhood, artistry, and business without abandoning their art, their family, or themselves.

You don’t have to self-abandon to be loved.
In fact… Quite the opposite is true.
Here is where we remember that, together.

💌 Weekly voice notes to hold you accountable to your brilliance
+ gut-led resource archive to support you where you’re at.

The Gut-Led circle is here for the overwhelmed tired creative mother who feel as though she has lost her spark.

In truth, you may even feel like you don’t know who you are any-more, that you’ve gone numb somehow and that you’re lost in a faraway land that feels intimidating and totally fucking lonely.

You may have asked yourself more than once: Will anyone hear me if I scream?!

Merely reading that may trigger guilt… Because we love our children dearly, right? They are the best thing that happened to us, yet also the very thing that drained the creative life out of us.

Or… Perhaps, if we dig deeper it may not be the kids themselves, but rather the heavy weight of conditioning around what we now must do as mothers. How we must act, and how we presumably must abandon everything we once were.

I’ll tell you my story:

When I became a mother in 2020, I was told that all babies do is sleep, eat, poop and repeat. I was blessed with a baby who nearly didn’t sleep for the entire first year, nor let my hip go for two. I physically and mentally couldn’t do anything. Add to that a massive wave of online hate that hit my independent art business and I felt like everything I had poured my life into was being taken away.

It wasn’t a matter of lack of motivation (though that plummeted along with sleep-deprivation), but more a lack of space, witnessing and support when and where I needed it most.

Someone, somewhere who saw what I was going through and could hold my hand through it.

I desperately googled things like:

  • “How to be an entrepreneur and mother at the same time”

  • “How to be an artist and mother at the same time”

  • “How to be ANYTHING at the same time as mothering?”

Tears were streaming down my face as I was wading through useless bullshit, which felt like it was written by someone (or something) who clearly DIDN’T UNDERSTAND what I was going through.

Whomever I turned to in my real life came back with the unsolicited: “Oh, just enjoy it they grow so quickly”, or “It will pass and then you’ll miss it”. OK thank you, goodbye.

The thing was…

I had spent several years pouring sweat and tears into building an independent art business. If I wasn’t working, nobody else would work for me. My husband fell into depression. It was a dark time and I felt lonelier than I ever had in my life.

If I can do anything for you, let that be the creation of a mirror for you to not forget your brilliance. She is still in there, she may just have gone into hiding.

I cannot come and do your dishes for you, or watch your kids so that you can do and splash some paint on a canvas (even if I would LOVE to give you that space!). But what I can do, is to create the space that I wish I had had access to when I became a mother.

The Gut-Led Circle, is your artsy-mum-friend-collective, a growing group of women who gets it*.

*It’s the space I wish existed when I became a mother.

This is not:

  • Something more to keep up with

  • Another place where you feel like you’re not enough (or like you’re too much)

What this is:

  • Your gentle accountability partner to yourself and your creative practise

  • A space where resources are available when you need them, not on a schedule set by someone else’s convenience

  • A place where you get to be witnessed and met where you’re at

What that means in practise:

  • Join the Gut-led Circle and you will receive an intimate 5-10min voice note in your inbox every Sunday night. You can download it to your phone and listen to it when it fits you. Nobody to answer to but your own calling.

  • Access to a growing archive with resources adapted to your circumstance.

    • This includes:

      • The Poetry archive for the starving mother artist

      • Feminine business resources to build an intuitive ecosystem that holds you even on the days you don’t feel like showing up (courses, templates, essays)

      • Seasonally themed Q&A invitations inside the circle

FAQs:

  • Do I need to have a business to join?

No you don’t! The circle is for every stage of the creative process. Whether you’re still trying to catch your breath and figure out who you are and where you’re at, or if you’ve got a business going and desperately need to find a way to make it fuel you as opposed to drain you… This is your place.

  • How much time and space will this take from me?

You decide! Some weeks you’ll listen to the voice notes immediately. Perhaps go through several juicy articles and get your mind working. Other weeks you’ll welcome the Sunday email but choose to wait to open it until you have capacity. This is about recognising and honouring your flow. Learn to listen to your gut again and to not force it into an external structure that doesn’t suit your design or situation.

This space was created for the mother who feels like she’s disappeared.

You’re exhausted. You can’t remember the last time you felt like an artist, let alone a woman.
You love your children, but somewhere in between the meals and the mess, something in you has gone quiet.

Maybe you’ve whispered, “Will anyone hear me if I scream?”

Maybe even reading that sentence made you feel guilty.
Because yes, you love your children. But this is not just about them.
It’s about the conditioning that told you:

“to be a good mother, you must abandon everything you once were.”
